Conventional Lathe CW Series

Applications
Conventional lathe of CW series is widely used to perform all kinds of lathe-turning operations, such as internal or external cylindrical surfaces, conical surfaces, surfaces of revolution, and end surfaces as well as metric thread, inch screw thread, modulus and diametrical pitch thread.
This series of conventional lathe is also suitable for broaching oil grooves, key grooves, and processing metallic materials (such as cast iron, steel), and non-ferrous materials.
With high power, great rigidity, and wide range of spindle speed, the conventional lathe is especially applicable to heavy cutting.
It is fit for heavy part manufacturing of electric machine rotors, gas turbine rotors, and rollers in the industries of energy, power, and mining.
This conventional lathe is widely used in automobile, petrochemical, military, railway, and machine manufacturing industries.

Introduction of Conventional Lathe
For the bed of this lathe, its double finning plate and inner finning plate on sidewall in width are designed for a composite structure between box type and diagonal bar, making the integral rigidity increase by one third. The slide carriage adopts a quick travel mechanism, which can be operated visually with a monolayer. To transform the main shaft direction of rotation or to brake is under hydraulic control. Our conventional lathes feature higher structural rigidity and driving rigidity, with steady precise and heavy cutting. The tailstock equips a scale dial and scale mark, and the headstock is forcedly lubricated with pressure oil. The cooling fits are handsome on the safe side with hydroelectric separation.
Hand brake or foot brake of easy and flexible operation is available for this conventional lathe. The lathe beds of CW80 are in a massive structure with 600mm span of lathe bed guide rail. The whole lathe bed of CW63 is in basic size of 4m and over 4m, and it is also available in size below 4m.
Our conventional lathes can achieve working accuracy at IT6-IT7 with minor surface roughness.
The saddle bed lathe is built on the basis of the original lathe bed, with increased diameter of gyration. Therefore, it is suitable for flat and unusual part manufacturing and offers the design features and application of the original lathe.
The safety mechanism is installed in the lathe slide carriage to avoid the lathe being damaged by overloading. The upper turret is used for turning short cone workpiece, and the long cone workpiece is turned by the compound motion of longitudinal feed and lower turret feed. The lathe operating handles are assembled for easy and flexible use. The main shaft braking and changeover between forward direction and reversal are under hydraulic control. To change in speed at 1 level is available by use of the press button without shut down.
